There’s something really meaningful about photographing a family for the second time and seeing how much their kids have grown.
I recently met up with Pam and Peter and their three children — Annie, Ellie, and Tommy — for a session at the beach in Southport, CT. It was a relaxed evening with great light and lots of easy moments. The kids have changed so much since the last time I saw them — taller, more confident, and somehow even cuter.
This stage of life moves fast, and it’s easy to forget just how much changes from year to year. Having professional photos is a simple way to pause time for a moment and hold onto what this season looked like for your family.

On a beautiful spring day in New York City, I photographed Sami and Diana with their three children — Safia , Yasmine, and Skander — at the Conservatory Garden in Central Park.
The Conservatory Garden is one of my favorite locations for family sessions. It’s quiet, full of natural light, and offers a gorgeous backdrop that enhances every photograph.
What stood out most during this session was the reminder that time together as a family moves quickly. Children grow up, schedules get busier, and before you realize it, everyone is in a different stage of life. These moments of being together in one place, in one season, are fleeting — and professional photographs give families a way to preserve them.

One of the greatest joys of being a family photographer is getting to witness new beginnings — and this session with Eric, Lisa, and their beautiful baby girl Mia was exactly that.
They’re new to my neighborhood and wanted to begin Mia’s story here, capturing her first chapter in their new home and along the beach nearby. I loved that intention so much — starting a family history not just with photos, but with meaningful ones, rooted in place and memory.
Mia was nine months old at the time of our session and truly the easiest, happiest little soul. All smiles, curious eyes, and that wonderful go-with-the-flow energy that makes photographing babies such a dream. Whether we were at their home or out by the water, she was completely content just being with her parents.
These are the kinds of sessions I treasure most — simple, relaxed, and full of love. No pressure, no posing perfection, just a family being exactly who they are in a moment they’ll want to remember forever.

They rolled up on scooters—and instantly, the tone was set.
Marie-Hélène, Daniel, and Arthur arrived on Roosevelt Island looking like a family straight out of a fashion magazine… only warmer, more relaxed, and complete with genuine joy. From the moment I met them, their connection was unmistakable—they had a kind of easy affection.
Nothing about this session felt posed. We wandered all around, talked, laughed, and let the session unfold naturally—proof that the best photographs happen when you stop “posing” and simply be.
This is always my hope for families during a session: to relax, have fun, and trust that you don’t need to be perfect for the camera. These photographs aren’t for me; they’re for you. They’re for remembering who you were, together, right now—when Arthur is still this age, and scooters are part of everyday adventures. Years from now, when he’s taller and those scooters are long gone, the love will look exactly the same.

Some photo sessions just click — and this one with Olivia and Vaughn was pure New York magic. We met at The Plaza (because where else do you start an iconic NYC love story?) and wandered into Central Park to enjoy the fall foliage. Between the golden leaves, the skyline peeking through the trees, and these two looking like they stepped out of a movie, it was one of those shoots that makes you fall in love with the city all over again.
This session was extra special — a little love letter to NYC before Olivia and Vaughn’s next chapter. If you ever needed proof that New York makes everything look cinematic, just wait until you see these two under the golden leaves of autumn.
