I can't get enough of this family! I have been blessed to have photographed the "little" guy, Darrell, when he was just a small boy. Now he is all grown up, a senior in High School, and most definitely taller then me (who, apparently is getting older and shrinking?).
It was an honor to be invited to photograph the entire family as they gathered for a special birthday. They gave me time in their yard for some family photos. We did so many fun combinations, and we did it quickly, so they could get back to the festivities. It really doesn't take long to guarantee a life-time of fun, beautiful memories of this special time in their lives.
These times together are beyond precious and deserve to be professionally photographed, so they will live on for generations to come.
I had to narrow down my selection for the blog post but trust me, there are so many more. Scroll down to see a bit of our time together.
Thank you Nanci for trusting me with your family photos. It's an honor! xoxo |
I just adore this family! I have photographed them every year since Nicholas was a baby. Each time that I'm with them, it's a new adventure and a ton of laughs. This time around, we met at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. This location had so much sentimental value and was a key saving grace for the family during this pandemic as a great spot for the kids to play outdoors. Plenty of room to scooter around!
Helen, Russell, Nicholas, and Alexandra you did it again! Thank you for letting me be a part of your adventures together! I can't wait until next time...

It's always such a treat for me to explore new areas and this was definitely one of those times! I had never been to Roosevelt Island before so I was thrilled when Lynn suggested a session where they live. What a cool place!
Johan, Lynn, Aren, Jason, and Dylan fit the scene perfectly and were wonderful to photograph there! The island has a great view of Manhattan as a back drop and with the light I love streaming through the buildings, I was in heaven.
Lynn and Johan, you have such a great family. You have raised three wonderful young men who are as kind as they are handsome. Thank you all for a great session. It was so much fun!

The Owenego does it again! They made Emily and Matt's wedding day perfect! It's not easy to navigate during this crazy year but the Owenego has done it beautifully. Emily and Matt had their small intimate wedding in this most ideal setting, right on the water surrounded by a very small group of their friends and family. Their plans may have changed along the way but the love, friendship, and support they felt that day was just what they needed.
We all know what an insane and difficult year this has been and I want to say THANK YOU to Emily and Matt for going ahead with your wedding (under all of the safest conditions possible) and bringing those who were there with you, so much JOY! You made this world a happier place just by sharing your love with us and I can't thank you enough for letting me be a part of it!
I can't wait until we continue your celebration next year!!
xoxo
Head down under the last photo for a slideshow of their wedding day.

It's sessions like this one that reinforce my love of photography! I had the honor of photographing Jacob, Koren, and Charlotte at Steps Beach on Nantucket at the end of the summer. Being able to take this moment in time for them, and freeze it for years to come, is so special to me. To escape from all the craziness going on in our world at this time, and get away to Nantucket, was a true blessing.
Charlotte had a blast exploring the beach, walking with her parents, finding magic shells, and enjoying the fresh air. Thank you Koren and Jacob for letting me photograph your family in such a special place. I look forward to the next time I get to see you. xoxo
