|So many laughs, so much energy, and an abundance of love. That's what this session was all about. I met this beautiful family for the first time at
Cranberry Lake Preserve in Westchester, NY. Although we were not able to explore much of the area due to a locked gate, we made due with a small part of land at the front of the park that fit everyone. It worked well.
The cousin love was evident as the kids had a blast together. The giggles were contagious! At the young ages they were, it was best to get them the way that made them most comfortable, which meant jumping up on stumps and letting them pose themselves. Letting kids be kids is so important and makes getting the best expressions that much easier.
Thank you all for being so much fun to photograph!
|I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous family in one of my favorite places - the Meigs Point area in Hammonasset State Park . It was the perfect fit for these three. Since Layla is not yet up for exploring the beach, this private little area was shaded and and cool enough for her and provided an ideal happy place for all of us. Layla was so engaged and having fun, but who wouldn't with Amelia and Harrison as the parents! These two are awesome!
I love everything about this family and am so honored that they let me photograph their love at this moment in time.
Thank you Amelia, Harrison, and Layla! you were all so wonderful! xoxo
|What a beautiful afternoon for a family session! When Mr. O contacted me that all of his grandchildren would be together for their 50th wedding anniversary, I knew I wanted to be there to help them create memories of this very special time.
One family rented a house on the water right around the corner from me so it made it even better! It was a perfect location. Although we had plenty of "posed" photos, it was the playful side of the kids that I loved so much. Uncle Patrick provided some great football fun creating the most wonderful, joyous, expressions. I can still hear their laughter and see the fun unfolding in front of us as they ran for the ball.
This is a very special family and to be able to have all the grandkids together was priceless. Thank you for letting me be a part of your fun and a very happy anniversary to the proud grandparents, Bob and Barbara! I wish you many many more years of love and happiness together!
|If you can make sunset work, that's fantastic! however, sometimes it doesn't happen exactly as we plan but we head out to the beach anyway. This time, we were sitting next to some very dark clouds, some far off rain, and a less then ideal sunset. The good news? we had the entire beach to OURSELVES! It couldn't have worked out any better!
I met Rachael, Graham, Juniper, and their handsome pup, Franklin at Hammonasset Beach State Park. They were adventurous enough to drive from Boston to one of my favorite beaches for their session. I still can't get over how incredible it all was.
This is definitely not the time of year to have the beach to yourself, but we did and it was perfect. It was as if we put a ginormous sand box in front of Juniper and said "now, go play". She was in her glory running around.
Graham and Rachael, you are amazing parents and Juniper is so lucky to have you! Thank you for letting me help document this part of your story together. Your story, and the album we created, are everything :)

|The best part of this engagement session was EVERYTHING! I can't tell you how much I loved hanging out with, and photographing, Alex and Dylan! They chose Cotton Hollow Preserve in Glastonbury, CT for their session. This is a favorite and very meaningful place for both of them and since they spend so much time there, trail running and biking, it was a great opportunity for me to capture them at a slower and more romantic pace. From trees, to rocks, to the peaceful sound of the running water, it was ideal.
Alex and Dylan will be married this September, and I am SO SO psyched to get another crack at them with my camera! haha! They are two of the kindest and coolest people around, and any chance I get to hang out with them, I'll take!
Alex and Dylan, you are stuck with me as a friend for life. I'll see you in September! xoxo
