Who has seen Wadsworth Falls right after a BIG storm?! well, I have, and it's wild!
I had the opportunity to photograph Marianne, Martin, Catherine, Fiona, and Bridget at Wadsworth Falls when the water was stronger than I'd ever seen it. It was crazy and beautiful all at the same time and I couldn't have asked for a more fun and adventurous family as this one.
I still can't believe we had just met. It was like hanging out with old friends who happened to like to dance in the water. It was all I could do to stop myself from jumping in with them. I will keep the silliest and most fun photos for the family but trust me, it was incredible.

I had the pleasure of photographing Kristen, Josh, and their three sons, Ben, Oliver, and Trevor at one of my favorite places - Hammonasset State Park in Madison. I always feel like I'm going home when I get to do a session there. It's just so beautiful, even on an overcast day like we had.
Since Ben is set to graduate High School this year, this was an extra special session. We were capturing more than just family photos, we were celebrating a family being together, without any distractions. I'm such a sentimental softy when it comes to family being present together.
Even though teen-age boys can be somewhat shy at first, these three brothers rose to the occasion, got silly and had fun! That's what it's all about.

I have certainly driven to New York City more this past year than I've ever done in my life! Wow, this has been a whirlwind travel year for me and I've loved every minute of it!
One of my favorite places that I've been lucky enough to photograph around was Tribeca. What a cool area! I met Emily, Alan, Eleanor, and William right around the corner from their home. It seemed like we had the place to ourselves. I loved the cobblestone streets, the park, and the whole vibe of the area, but I especially adored this family! They had the perfect mix of fun, love, and good looks. It was evident that they enjoyed being together and I am so happy that I got to photograph their bond.

If I had to guess what this family would say about the week-end we had their photo session, it would be "What a weekend to remember"!.
I would like to think I played a big part in that statement, but, in truth, it would be about seeing Taylor Swift in concert. Stu wins major awards for planning their incredible weekend. They had an absolutely amazing time at the concert and then, for the grand finale, they got ME the next day! Ha!
We had such a blast exploring Washington Square Park and the surrounding streets near where they live.
Story and Sutton were full of so much joy, that photographing them was sooooo easy. The love they have for each other, their dog Chewie, and especially their Dad, was just incredible to experience. Story and Sutton, the dynamic duo, had a contagious energy and happiness. I could photograph that energy every single day! |

I met with Carolyn, Matt, Madeline, Dashiell, and Henry at a beautiful park near their home in New York City. What a gorgeous and kind family!
Although it all started with a simple headshot request, it quickly morphed into family photos and why not! Madeline had just come back from College, the boys were around, and because I photograph later in the day, work hours were not an issue. Fantastic! we had everyone.
I love finding these little nooks where we always "seem" to have the place to ourselves. Sometimes I can't believe we're in New York City - where are all the people? haha!
What a joy it was to not only get the headshots taken care of but to be able to create an album for Carolyn of her whole family together - what a memory for her!
In this digital age, it's easy to rely on our smartphones to capture every moment.
