|Ray, Sue, Brian and David were AMAZING to photograph! What a fun family! Even though it was the first time that we had met, I was instantly at ease and felt like I had known them for a long time. Sue and Ray, you had me laughing from hello :)
Brian and David, you definitely brought your A game to this session. Senior year and Eighth grade? no way! You are both kind and mature beyond your years and are going to have fantastic futures at whatever you choose.
Thank you all for being so wonderful to photograph and even better to hang out with. Sue.... you're stuck with me as a friend now! haha :)
|Tate told me that this was the year he was NOT going in the water during this session. I have to say, when he told me this, I was kind of bummed. I look forward to seeing that face of his go from smiling to realllllly smiling when he hits the water! I figured he was going to grow out of it at some point, but I was hoping we had another year. Well...haha...he didn't disappoint. Yay! Tate took the plunge again! Thanks Tate :)
Amy and Brett picked one of the most beautiful spots on Nantucket for this session. We went way out to Smiths Point. Off roading with this family was one of the highlights of the trip. Amy, you never cease to amaze me.
Thank you Brett, Amy, and Tate for bringing me on yet another adventure. I absolutely LOVE photographing your family! xoxoxoxo
|Now that it's getting colder, let me take you back to the warmth of summer - to a magical place called Fire Island. I had the good fortune to be invited this summer, to photograph Mark, Marilyn, Scarlett, Chuck, and Veronica at their summer home on Fire Island. What a beautiful place. When Mark told me there were no cars on the island, I was curious as to how I would get from the ferry to their home. Wagons. Everything is transported with little wagons. Luckily, the ferry, the house, and the beach were all within walking distance from each other and made the adventure that much easier. It's quite a place. When you stand in the middle of the "street" you can look to the left and the right and see water on both sides. So cool.
Mark and Marilyn were so hospitable and their three children were absolutely amazing to photograph. Add a wide open, beautiful beach to the mix, and I was in heaven.
Thank you all for letting me experience your Fire Island. It really is an incredible place! xoxo
|How did I get so lucky! I have had the honor to photograph not one, but two sisters from this family. This is a very special family to me, and when Alex contacted me to photograph her wedding, I was so psyched! Alex and Dylan are beyond awesome and their wedding was absolutely ideal. It had everything from a backyard barbeque with Pete the Butcher to a mobile bar with The Mobile Pub. It was so laid back and fit perfectly with Alex and Dylan's personalities.
I have the biggest smile on my face thinking back to their wedding day. Everybody was so happy and relaxed. Due to the amazing talent of DJ James Shanahan, the dancing never stopped. I think even my sidekick for the day, Kelly B and I might have moved and shook out on the dance floor for just a bit too :)
Alex and Dylan, you are completely stuck with me now! you are both so fantastic and I look forward to the next time when we can all hang out :)
