|Amid all this rain we've been having was ONE perfect day. The sun was shining and the temperatures were ideal. The best part? that perfect day landed right on the day that Claire and Steve were getting married. It couldn't have been better and it couldn't have happened to two nicer people.
Claire and Steve, THANK YOU for letting Stephen and I be a part of your incredible wedding day. Photographing the two of you, and your families and friends, at Woodwinds here in Branford, was awesome!
As their hashtag, #aroseforclaire notes, there were Roses everywhere! not just the gorgeous flowers from Myers Flowers but also all the family of Steves from Roses Orchards. So many smiles, so many laughs, and so much love. I was moved by the fact that Claire's father wrote the song that he danced with her to. That was extra special.
Claire and Steve, you really are two of the nicest and most loving people and I couldn't be happier for you both. Thank you both for letting us be a part of your wedding day! I hope you're having a fantastic time on your honeymoon :)

|Tate is 3 and cuter than ever! This is my third time photographing Tate's birthday party and it keeps getting better and better. I don't think I have ever been around Tate where he's not having fun. From the beaches of Nantucket to Kidville in Westport, this boy knows how to have a good time and I am lucky enough to be able to photograph him in both of those happy places.
Tate's circle of friends keeps on growing, and the laughing, singing, and playing at his party at Kidville was a prime example of how loved he is.
Amy and Brett, thank you for letting me photograph Tate's birthday once again. I can't wait for our session in Nantucket this summer :)
|You can't even imagine how much I love this family AND this session with them! You have to love Amy who puts the time of the session in my hands and mentions the words "buttery light" to me. BAM! That's exactly what they got!
Amy, Dana, and Payton, had the most amazing session to welcome in the soon to be newest member of their family. Although I was supposed to focus solely on the baby to be, Payton wound up stealing the show. How could I resist that cuteness of hers! and seeing as this is her last solo session before her new sibling arrives to share the limelight, I couldn't help myself.
We met at Harkness Park on a blustery winter day but these three were such troopers and lasted through the wind and cold like champs! I couldn't have asked for a better family to photograph in such an amazing place!
Thank you Amy, Dana, Payton, and baby to be for your overall awesomeness and being willing to go where I think it would be best.
I love you to pieces!
|I think this engagement session holds the record for the most photos that I want to put on the blog. This particular session makes me a little teary, with joy of course. I have been photographing Allegra for a long time now and to see her all grown up, in love, and SO happy, makes me a wee bit emotional.
Allegra you have grown into the most amazing young woman and I am so proud of everything you have accomplished. You have found yourself quite a catch in John. I can see how perfect you two are for each other and I can not wait for your incredible wedding week-end this September at the Wainwright House!
I could put at least 100 photos from this session here. You were both made for this location! When you told me you were heading this way from your home in California and wanted to have your engagement session at The Waveny House in New Canaan, I was so psyched. The rain cleared just in time and we were able to fit this session in during your whirlwind time here. It worked out exactly the way it was supposed to and was awesome!
Allegra and John, I can't wait to see you both again in September!
