Meeting this family and getting to photograph their sweet relationships with one another was truly one of the highlights of my summer sessions. When Sandy contacted me to photograph her family at Edgerton Park, I was elated to find out that, not only was her mother coming, but also her brother and his family from New York, as well. It was so special and so much fun. I felt so comfortable right from the start, that I couldn't believe it was the first time I was meeting them.
Photographing all of the relationships within an extended family is so important to me. Call me a sentimental old fool, but I believe that it is every single one of our relationships that help build the person we are. Every one of them.
