East Haddam Family Session of the G Family : CT Family Photographer

It's time to jump for joy that Spring is right around the corner! I think we've made it through the easiest winter yet. Please tell me I didn't just jinx us :) While we're watching the bulbs come up, let me take you back to a session I did on a gorgeous Fall day.

As soon as I drove up to their home and saw this beautiful lake and five awesome boys all smiling and looking so good, I knew this was going to be a winner. This was an extra special session for these five cousins because they got to share it with their wonderful grandparents. The love between all of them was the most unconditional and fun sort of love you ever saw. These five goofballs made their grandparents smile and laugh and really enjoy themselves, which made the photos even that much more meaningful. They will always look back and remember the fun time they had together creating these images.

Yeisid, thank you for letting me photograph your family in such a beautiful location. You have one very special family!

Branford, CT Family Session of Kristan, Sean, Emily & Maeve : CT Family Photographer

They did it again! Sean, Kristan, Emily, and Maeve came to Branford with their best smiles and were beyond amazing to photograph. These two little girls get me every time I see them. Those faces are soooo cute! It still makes me smile to think how sweet they are with each other. They were up for anything. We met at the Branford LIbrary for some formal portraits and then made our way over to the beach behind their grandparents home. The sunsets there are the best!

Kristan and Sean, thank you for letting me photograph your gorgeous family once again. It just keeps getting better and better each time I see you!

Branford, CT Baby Session of Remington : CT Baby Photographer

The cuteness is REAL! Remington has stolen my heart, and clearly, my camera as well. He is beyond photogenic and was full of smiles from start to finish. His grandmother and I had to be realllllly quiet as his mom was just down the hall and this was to be a surprise for her. We did it! Even with all our squealing over Remy and his ability to look unbelievably adorable in every photo, we pulled it off. I was incredibly overwhelmed with the sentimental side of photographing this particular baby. You see, his grandmother and I went to high school together. It's crazy that I am now photographing her grandson and she doesn't look old enough to even have a teenage child. She has clearly taken better care of herself then I have, haha!

Mary, thank you for entrusting me with Remy's surprise photos for his parents. It was such an honor and an even bigger joy for me. Love you so much!

Hammonasset State Park Family Session of The Y Family : CT Family Photographer

This was one of the most special sessions I have ever done. It was 15 years ago when I first had the honor to photograph Liz and John on their wedding day at West Point. Fast forward to this past September, and the family has grown tremendously. The proud Grandparents, Dotty and Rick, were beaming from ear to ear as their 8 grandchildren - count 'em..1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8, surrounded them on the rocks of Hammonasset State Park. Numbered and color coded were the little cousins, making it so easy for me to know who went with who. Liz, John, James, Kiera, Livvie, Bill, Kelly, Catherine, Clara, John, Grace, Lila, Kenya, Tiason, and last but not least, Dotty and Rick - you were all so amazing to photograph!

When I tell you that these are the kindest, most generous and thoughtful people around, I am not kidding! From military service, to medical service, to teaching and to crafting beautiful cards for the soldiers, just to name a few, this family does it all.

Dotty and Rick, you must be incredibly proud of this great big beautiful family you have given this world to enjoy. Thank you for letting me photograph them all! xoxoxoxo

Hammonasset State Park Senior Session of Megan : CT Senior Photographer

I'm not getting older - you are! yeesh! this seems to be my theme this year, as all those little kids I photographed way back when are now seniors in High School. It's so crazy to see how much has changed over the years. Megan was just a baby a second ago when I created my very first business card with her on it! Of course, I had to put the old card in this post. I love to see how my business, and my photography skills have evolved.

Now that little baby on the card is all grown up. Be forewarned, I'm going to be a bit all over the place in this post. My emotions about getting older are in high gear with this session. Just to show you the changes, I put some of the before and afters on here too. Not only of Megan, but also of her sister Gianna as well. This little peanut came along for Megan's session and showed me just how grown up she has become when she stood in front of my camera. Come on! Gianna, you're a rock star!

Terry, you have the most awesome daughters! You should be so proud. I am beyond grateful that you have been in my life for so long. We have so many stories and so many more stories to create. These moments are all being strung together to create this great big beautiful picture of our lives. Thank you for letting me be a part of yours. xxxxx
