I had the joy of photographing one of my favorite families for the second time at their beautiful home in Hampton Bays, NY.
Cecile and Frederick, along with their daughters Lisa and Alex, welcomed me with the same warmth and laughter that made our first session so memorable.
What I love most about photographing this family is the abundance of love and fun that fills every moment. There’s something truly special about families who let their personalities shine and simply enjoy being together during a photo session. When laughter and genuine smiles light up every face, it’s easy to capture images that radiate connection and happiness.
Family photos are so much more than just pictures—they’re memories preserved, stories told, and legacies created for future generations. When families like Cecile, Frederick, Lisa, and Alex come together in front of the camera, they’re not just making beautiful portraits—they’re celebrating their unique bond and creating joyful memories that will last a lifetime.
Sessions like these are a reminder that the best family photos happen when there’s lots of love and plenty of fun. I’m already looking forward to our next session together! |
I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda, Nick, Charlie, and Genevieve at an amazing location near their home in Bridgehampton, NY. Nova's Ark was the perfect backdrop for a family who loves to laugh and have fun together! This place was extra special too because it's where Amanda and Nick had their wedding. Bonus!
The spirit that they brought to the playful sculptures made this session one of my favorites. When families are relaxed and having fun, their true personalities shine through. These are the memories they will cherish and I am so happy I was fortunate to be a part of it. Focusing on enjoyment, rather than perfection, takes the pressure off and lets everyone feel comfortable and be themselves.
You know how much I love great lighting during a session but, I have to say, I love the laughter and playfulness even more! |
I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family - Sabina, Adnan, Azra, Omar, and Tarik - near their home in Long Island City. Their neighborhood, along the East River, had the most incredible views of the Manhattan skyline, making it the perfect backdrop for our session.
I had never been in this area before and was thrilled when they picked it for their session. We walked all over and they gave me such a great tour. They pointed out the restored gantries, the historic structures, once used for loading rail car floats and barges. There were bike paths, playgrounds, and picnic areas. We covered a lot of ground and I was able to see how much this area means to them. It was wonderful to see it through their eyes.
I love when a family chooses a sentimental location for their session. It makes it so extra special! |
I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family at the beautiful Bartlett Arboretum and Gardens in Stamford, Connecticut. Ana and George, with their children, Masha, Athina, and George, Jr. were absolutely amazing to photograph!
Between the beauty of the Bartlett gardens, the timing of our session with the buttery light, and the gorgeousness of this family, my heart was imploding with joy - It all made me so happy! For any family photo session, it's crucial that everyone feels relaxed and enjoys the experience. This family was no exception. The casual feeling made for truly memorable photos.
We timed our session with the best golden light. The softness and warmth of that late day light only enhanced those already beautiful faces. Amazing! Our time together was a testament to the power of fun, relaxation, and beautiful lighting in creating unforgettable family portraits!
Cheers to this beautiful family! I had a blast!

Photographing Meg, Arthur and their two adorable boys, Henry and George, was pure magic. Their front yard transformed into a playscape of giggles, bubbles, and fun!
The best moments to photograph during a session are the unscripted ones - the natural interactions between each member of the family. Letting kids lead with their energy makes for the most authentic and amazing smiles. It's always a bit more relaxing for everyone to be in familiar settings to ease any "photo anxiety" and encourage the organic moments. Bringing favorite toys or, in this case, bubbles makes for an easy distraction from any camera pressure.
Meg, Arthur, Henry, and George were incredible to photograph. It was such a relaxed and fun time! It's always good to blend preparation with flexibility because you never know what's going to happen with the energy of two young boys. They definitely earned their ice cream after this session! |
