A little bit over half way there!

Whew! Well we have finally slowed down just enough so I can update you on my whereabouts. It's been a bit of a push with some incredible stops along the way. Some places we made our way through more quickly and some we stayed in a little bit longer. Nashville and Memphis were two of our favorite stops so far in the first half of the trip. Of course we had to stop on Beale Street in Memphis for some blues at BB King's BBQ. How could you miss that? and, if you're that close you have to visit Graceland. Elvis, Elvis, Elvis!!! Wow that place is overwhelmingly Elvis - good thing I love him, and yes, we've been tuned in to both the Elvis and BB King stations on Sirius to boot!. I confess, we didn't take as much time as I would have liked in Little Rock, Arkansas or Oklahoma but we're really hoping to spend more of our time in Santa Fe, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas before we roll into Los Angeles. I've heard Rte 66 is a little bit of a rough road to drive on so we are running parallel on Route 40 which has been very good to us and given us so much beautiful landscape along the way. In fact, I've even adorned BB with a new front license plate that says Rte 66 because, really, she's done all the work on this trip and I couldn't find a Rte 40 one. It is SO refreshing to see so much open space! This morning we are leaving Amarillo, Texas to drive to Santa Fe which we are both so excited about! All right, I better go have my coffee so I can get ready to roll.

Here are some highlights I've taken of the places we've seen along the way complete with a vintage feel in mind. Enjoy!
