When Emily contacted me to photograph her and Brett's engagement session, I was thrilled! The fact that they don't live in CT, and are not getting married in CT, but wanted their engagement session in Branford, where she grew up, was all I needed to jump on board! Right up the street from where I am located, is the beach where Emily spent a lot of her time. It was the perfect spot to meet and photograph the two of them. We had a perfectly beautiful night.
Engagement sessions, and most all sessions, are best when they are in a location that is special. Including an element that is significant to the story is also important. In their case, Emily and Brett brought along their puppy, Pepper. Just look at that face! so cute.
Thank you Brett and Emily for letting me photograph your love in such a sentimental place. It was an honor for me! All my best wishes to you for a joy-filled future together! xx |
This seems like the perfect time to bring you all back to one of the most gorgeous Fall days. A time when the term "social distancing" was not on everyone's mind. Of course, social distancing is not a problem when I'm photographing people. With the lens I use, I can be wayyyyy far away from my subject and yet make it seem like I'm right there up close and personal. I actually like to give my subjects space when I'm photographing them. It makes everyone more comfortable and more themselves when a camera is not right in their face. I guess I've been a social distancer for a while now. Go figure.
Let me get back on track with this gorgeous couple and their incredible engagement session. Ali & Pierre will be getting married this November on Hilton Head and I cannot WAIT! Just look at these two! They're so amazing to photograph and just to be with. I can't tell you how psyched I am to be traveling to Hilton Head for their wedding. These two? A beach? Come on - it's all so good.
Ali and Pierre, thank you, thank you, thank you for being you and allowing me to photograph this important time in your lives. See you soon! xoxo |

I have the BEST couples ever! Claire and Ryan are going to be married this June at Stonehurst at Hampton Valley and I can't wait! These two gorgeous people make me smile every time I'm around them. They're just so nice! No really, they are. Don't even get me started on their dog, Calvin. He stole the show from the moment he hopped out of the car and I couldn't get enough of him.
We met in Glastonbury, CT at Hops on the Hill on an off day when it was closed and the owner gave us the run of the land. I was beyond excited with all the options laid out in front of me. The textures and light in this location put me over the top with joy! Oh that light - it gets me every time.
Claire and Ryan, looking at the two of you together is like looking at the core of love. You are meant to be. I wish you all the best as an engaged couple and I'm so excited to see you two take on the next chapter at your wedding in June, and the chapter after that, and the one after that, and....well, you're stuck with me for life so there ya go. Love you both!

I had the honor of photographing Laura and Steve in a celebration of their love for each other. We met at a gorgeous location in Greenwich for their engagement session. Although it was our first time meeting each other, we instantly hit it off. So many laughs, so much joy. Laura and Steve are amazing together. Every time they looked at each other, their faces lit up. It was sooooo easy to photograph their connection. Couple that with a gorgeous location, and I was over the moon happy. Beach roses, water views, and a gentle sea breeze surrounded them perfectly.
Laura and Steve, thank you so much for trusting me with your engagement photos. You are going to have such a joy filled life with each other. I know it!

The best part of this engagement session was EVERYTHING! I can't tell you how much I loved hanging out with, and photographing, Alex and Dylan! They chose Cotton Hollow Preserve in Glastonbury, CT for their session. This is a favorite and very meaningful place for both of them and since they spend so much time there, trail running and biking, it was a great opportunity for me to capture them at a slower and more romantic pace. From trees, to rocks, to the peaceful sound of the running water, it was ideal.
Alex and Dylan will be married this September, and I am SO SO psyched to get another crack at them with my camera! haha! They are two of the kindest and coolest people around, and any chance I get to hang out with them, I'll take!
Alex and Dylan, you are stuck with me as a friend for life. I'll see you in September! xoxo |
