This engagement session goes right to the top in my book! Meet Erica and Matt. I still can't believe this was the first time that I met them. It's like I've known them for a long time and that is a direct reflection on how fantastic they are as people. They both just put you at ease right from the start. We had so many laughs and such a great time together. Even the mass of bugs swarming them didn't "bug" them. A few jokes and comments of "we're fine" and we were off and running again.
Erica and Matt will be married this August at Park Avenue Summer In NYC and I can't wait for their wedding day!

Meet one of my new favorite couples! Jacki and Jon. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing our session was. I know I go on about how beautiful the location was and how the weather was perfect, but this time it's really really really true. It's almost like I plan for my couples to have the best location and the best light, and yes I do :)
Our time at Hammonasset State Park is proof that location and light are just about everything. Oh, and of course, a good looking couple like Jacki and Jon don't hurt either.
We had so many laughs, and such a great time together that now I can't WAIT for their wedding this July at the Guilford Yacht Club. Jacki and Jon you were not only great to photograph, but so much fun to hang out with too!

I think this engagement session holds the record for the most photos that I want to put on the blog. This particular session makes me a little teary, with joy of course. I have been photographing Allegra for a long time now and to see her all grown up, in love, and SO happy, makes me a wee bit emotional.
Allegra you have grown into the most amazing young woman and I am so proud of everything you have accomplished. You have found yourself quite a catch in John. I can see how perfect you two are for each other and I can not wait for your incredible wedding week-end this September at the Wainwright House!
I could put at least 100 photos from this session here. You were both made for this location! When you told me you were heading this way from your home in California and wanted to have your engagement session at The Waveny House in New Canaan, I was so psyched. The rain cleared just in time and we were able to fit this session in during your whirlwind time here. It worked out exactly the way it was supposed to and was awesome!
Allegra and John, I can't wait to see you both again in September!

Okay, so let me take you out of this snowy weather we're having and bring you back to a gorgeous fall day! What better way to photograph Claire and Stephen's engagement session than in the orchard that Stephen's family owns. Rose's Orchards was the PERFECT location! We had the whole place to ourselves and explored every part of it! In a word, the photo ops were "endless".
Claire and Stephen are two of the nicest people around and it is so clear how much they love each other. I was honored that they asked me to photograph their wedding this April, at Woodwinds in Branford.

Meet Jamie and Rich! They will be getting married in January and I can't wait! For their engagement session, they chose the Saville Dam area in Barkhamstead. The beauty in there took my breath away. Not just the cool castle-like building at the dam, but also the landscape surrounding it. I can't even imagine how gorgeous it must be in the fall. If anyone wants to travel back there for a session when the leaves are at their peak, let me know :)
