Paige - All Grown Up!

Well I know she will probably kill me for putting up some of these photos, but I just couldn't help it. I love my niece, Paige, in every stage of her life! Paige will be graduating from Roger Williams University this week-end and I couldn't be more proud of her! From the moment I laid eyes on that face of hers, she had me wrapped around her finger. She's my Magoo. I know that whatever the future holds for her, she will face it all head on. She is one of the strongest and most independent people out there. Nothing will stand in her way of happiness and a fantastic future.
Paige, whatever you wind up doing and wherever you wind up living, always know that you have my love and support!
I love you Magoo.
Congratulations!!!!!

and the learning continues....

I love that I have a job where I can just keep learning new ways to do things ALL the time! This is one career that NEVER gets stale. There are constant challenges waiting around every corner and I wouldn't be happy doing what I'm doing if there weren't. This past week-end was our
Connecticut Professional Photographers Association Conference and it was a complete BLAST! I even learned how to play Yachtzee. I was psyched that we had, among all of the speakers, Zack and Jody Gray, Justin and Mary Marantz, and Jasmine Star. The path of our industry is changing and I am completely pumped to watch it happen and be a part of it! This is going to be an exciting year for our Association and I am thrilled that I was sworn onto the Board at the convention this past week-end. Yes, that's me in the glasses trying to look all smart in between the two beauties. That is one hot board and this is going to be a great year!

Happy Ice Day!

Happy ice day to you and yours! I have heard over and over and over again how much everyone is sick and tired of this weather and can NOT wait for spring! First, put down all sharp objects because I am about to share with you something that may cause you to want to throw something at me. I LOVE THIS WEATHER!!!!! I love the beauty of a fresh snow, the warmth of a fire, the taste of hot chocolate, the excitement of a good book, and the feel of my favorite blanket. Oh, and being in my sweatpants most every day doesn't hurt either.

I know not everyone has the luxury of being able to turn the Open sign off at their job at any time they wish during this season, but that is the beauty of a photographers winter. It's our quite time. In the spring, summer, and fall you can find us working all sorts of crazy hours and barely taking a day off, but now? It's our time to rest and recharge so that we can give you our all come spring time.

This is also a chance for some serious marketing to occur. I have been working very hard on changing up some things over here at the studio. One - the website. Two - the portrait pricing / buying options. I think you are all REALLY going to like what's coming!!!! I have been listening to what you want and I am working hard on implementing your wishes into our Portrait Pricing information.

You can always, always, ALWAYS tell me how I can make your experience with Cronin Photography better and I will do my absolute best to make it happen for you. Send me an email if you have any ideas or wishes that you have been wanting to tell me.

For now, stay tuned for a really cool new Web Site and new Portrait purchasing options coming soon :)

Here is a preview of spring in Branford to give you hope and get you through the images of snow.

Here's to another fantastic year!

It is very difficult for me to sit down at my computer and try to sum up the year that I've had in words. This past year has filled me with so many wonderful memories that it is hard to convey the feelings. How often does one get to pack up the car for six weeks and drive to California and back? Couple that with the feeling of pride in our country as we drove threw its beautiful landscape. I would absolutely, hands down, 100%, do that trip again in a second. I have so many great images in my head when I think about it but I think the red rocks and peacefulness of Sedona stands out the most. I revisited some of the photos that I took along the way and was struck by the color and textures that I was drawn to when I picked up my camera. Apparently I have a "thing" for color and texture.

Another thing that struck me when I reflected upon the year was how many incredibly fun and interesting people I met and worked with this year. From all of my gorgeous brides and grooms, to the very talented vendors, to the warm and wonderful families that I have photographed. Each one has touched my life in a very special way.

I am beyond excited to see what 2011 brings and, after listening to our clients, I think you are all going to be really excited to see what we have to offer you in 2011. Stay tuned for our Newsletter on the exciting changes we have waiting for you! And remember to tell your friends and family to join our Facebook business page so they can keep up on the latest news too.

We look forward to making it the best year yet!

Happy Birthday Brian!!

Ok, I'm going to totally embarrass the poor guy now....Happy Birthday to my little apricot squish face!! My little nephew is 18 today and it's killing me because he vowed, when he was very small, that he would stay that size for me forever! That little face that would look up at me with those big blue eyes and sweet smile went and grew up on me. It's his senior year now at Xavier and soon he will be packing up to head off to Providence College. Luckily he will be close enough for me to track down and keep an eye on.

Brian, I don't care how old or how big you get, you will always be my little squish! Happy Birthday!

Love that pic of Brian with my father. Some quality Poppy time.
